1. Information collected

When you search the site, the date, beach location, or first name you enter is processed to show matching photographs. A search does not by itself create a customer account.

When you begin or complete an order, MJF Media may collect your name, email address, selected photograph and product, order amount, order status, delivery information, and messages or instructions you provide. If physical ordering is enabled later, shipping information may also be collected. When you book coverage or a private session, MJF Media also collects the selected date and time window, location, participant names or count, phone number, and scheduling notes you provide.

The site and its service providers may automatically receive ordinary technical information such as an IP address, browser or device information, request logs, and security or essential cookie information needed to operate and protect the service.

2. Photographs and session information

Mikey Clicks publishes watermarked surf-photo proofs so surfers can find themselves. Proofs may be grouped by session date, beach location, and a surfer's first name when known. The original full-resolution files are not displayed as public proofs.

If you appear in a proof and want a first name removed, a photograph removed, or a session reviewed, contact MJF Media using the information below. Please include the photo code or session details when possible.

3. How information is used

Information is used to operate photo search, process and verify payments, deliver purchased files, prepare requested products, communicate about orders, respond to questions or removal requests, prevent fraud or misuse, maintain business records, and comply with legal obligations.

MJF Media does not sell customer personal information and does not use order details for third-party advertising.

4. Payments and service providers

Payments are processed by Stripe. MJF Media receives payment and order status but does not directly store your complete payment-card number. Stripe handles information under its own privacy policy and security practices.

Information may also be processed by website hosting, photo storage, email, security, and file-delivery providers only as reasonably needed to operate the site or fulfill an order.

5. When information may be shared

MJF Media may share information with the service providers described above, with a professional adviser such as an accountant when reasonably necessary, when required by law or legal process, or when needed to protect customers, MJF Media, the website, or the rights of others. Information is not shared with unrelated businesses for their own marketing.

6. Retention

Published proofs and original photographs remain stored until MJF Media removes the applicable photo or session. Customer and order records may be retained as reasonably needed for fulfillment, accounting, tax, fraud prevention, disputes, and other legal or business recordkeeping obligations.

Private JPEG download links normally expire fourteen days after delivery. If a link expires before you download your purchase, contact MJF Media for a replacement. Expiration of a download link does not necessarily delete the order record or MJF Media's original photograph. Stripe and other service providers maintain their own retention schedules.

7. Your choices and requests

You may contact MJF Media to ask about personal information associated with your order, request a correction, or request deletion where appropriate. Some information may need to be retained for completed transactions, legal compliance, security, or legitimate business records.

You can also request review or removal of a published proof as described above. MJF Media may ask for enough information to identify the correct photograph or verify an order before acting on a request.

8. Security

MJF Media uses reasonable safeguards designed to protect customer information and private original files. No website or storage method can guarantee absolute security, so customers should also download and protect purchased files promptly.

9. Children

Purchases are intended for adults or for minors acting with the permission and involvement of a parent or legal guardian. If a parent or guardian believes a child's personal information was submitted improperly, contact MJF Media.

10. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as the website, products, or legal requirements change. The latest revision date will appear at the top of this page.
